Listen up, non-profits! We need your attention!
For the sixth consecutive year, we are launching the FootPRINT Fund®, a program that provides $15,000 in printing and marketing services to nonprofit organizations in Aiken County.
The FootPRINT Fund® is Allegra's way of leaving a "footprint" on the community we care most about. Nonprofits are important to our community, and so we believe it is our civic duty to provide assistance in those areas where we can.
As we did last year, we will let the Aiken community vote on which non-profits they feel should receive an award. This strategy will allow you to get involved and have some control over your 2012-2013 award. Furthermore, it will give you more media coverage that will ultimately help you in the long run, regardless of your award amount. Last year, we estimated that over 20% of Aiken residents participated in voting!
All applicants will be part of an online poll at www.aikenallegra.com. Your mission statement and organizational information will be shown where the public can vote on the organizations that they feel make the greatest impact on our community. The number of votes your organization receives will play a role in the amount you are awarded.
The FootPRINT Fund® application deadline is May 31. Polling will then begin at our website on June 1 and end on June 22. Winners will be announced and notified by June 29 with awards available for use on July 2. To apply, please visit www.aikenallegra.com and click on the FootPRINT Fund® logo at the top of the page. This year, we are only taking applications online, and it only takes a few minutes.
